RCBS Chargemaster Issues.

Previously posted under "Equipment" with no feedback.

My 18 month old CM1500 is dead. Plug it in; press on button and all I get is a lighted display with some random characters, no countdown or anything else. I detached the dispenser from the scale, same result

I called RCBS; item is out of warranty. By returning the unit and a $200 check they will replace the unit. Or I may only send the scale and a check for $150 for a new replacement.

How do you guys get a replacement unit for $45?
Should I just buy a new 1500 scale for $190-200?

I had the same problem with mine. Support at RCBS suggested that I separate the scale from the dispenser and then reseat the scale back onto the dispenser so that the connector fits correctly. I tried this and it fixed mine!

Thanks, tried it. No effect. When I press the on button the display only lights up. No countdown or other function.
