RCBS Chargemaster repair?

Anyone know someone that can repair a broken chargemaster? Mine won't turn on properly - just endlessly cycles through the countdown when you turn it on.

Called RCBS, that was frustrating. Someone in tech support tells me to send it in when I tell them the issue. About a week later I get a call saying "yep it doesn't work - do you want us to throw it away (she literally said that) or send it back to you. We don't repair these." They are friendly on the phone, I will give them that. But seriously, tell me you don't repair them before I spend $30 sending it in only to have you verify what I said on the phone!

You need to call them back and ask about their replacement policy.

Funny you should mention that. I had heard about people getting a replacement for broken chargemasters, and when I asked the CS person (Dory) said "nope we don't do any kind of discount or replacement for out of warranty chargemasters." She said it with authority, no hesitation.

I've gotten the same story, one was by mfg date, not when bought. I bet it costs 45 tops to get them made, we pay upwards of 300, need a friggin adj.

Call up a company like Industrial Repair Service (there are more than one company by this name) or other company that specializes in repairing industrial electronics. Tell them what you have and ask if they can diagnose and/or repair it for you.

Just an FYI for those that may have the Chargesmaster 1500 - was told they are phasing these out for the newer Chargemaster Lite. But they don't 'fix' those either so beyond the one year warranty nothing they can do.
And I was told they used to do a discounted replacement for a broken unit but no longer offer this.
