I was sick and tired of the noise my RCBS trim mate case prep center was making so i did something about it. I took the back off and discovered that the gears are all plastic and loose fitting, thus the reason for the noise. I took some STP Motor oil treatment and coated the plastic gears with it. I used a Q-tip to do this. I also used Blue lock-tite when i reassembled the back plate. My back plate was also loose from the vibration. I snugged the screws pretty good. This simple step now allows me to hear my TV set while preparing my cases. Nice and quite. Give it a try!!
