I've got a factory A5M that is falling off in the accuracy department. I'm a fan of FN products, and I like the action/stock combo, so I'm considering having it rebarreled. I've got a request in with LRI but I wanted to see if there were other suggestions. I'm still toying with caliber. I'm set up to reload .308 but considering getting into 6.5 creedmoor. I'm just a casual shooter, no competition shooting, and this would be my first step into the 6.5 if I choose to do so.

Following. How many rounds do you have through it at this point? What kind of groups were you getting before vs now?

I really dig my A5M, but this will be good info for whenever mine starts to let go!

Everyone should have a 308, probably showing my age, as it does many things very well, there is still tons of match ammo options available and barrel life of 308 is better (generally speaking) than the 6.5 Creed. I have rifles in 6.5mm of many different flavors but there will always be a 308 (most probably a custom built) in the stable.
Have another 308, build the FN SPR as a 6.5 Creed but if the FN is your only 308 then I'd keep it as a 308.
185 Juggernauts from a 308 are pretty darn nice, quite a bit more overall performance than 175 SMKs.
If you keep FN SPR as a 308, have chamber cut so 185 Juggernaut is 0.040" jump at 2.860" OAL (FN TBM magazine will accept 2.870 +/-).
