I have a 300blk SBR that I am considering swapping the barrel/bolt out for a 12.5" 6.5 grendel. My other SBR is a 11.5" 5.56. When both are suppressed, the 300blk is not far off the 11.5" because the 30cal can is a few inches longer than my 5.56 can.
Being spoiled by short rifles, I'd like to keep the barrel length under 13.5" being that a 8" suppressor is going on it. I had a 22" grendel in the past that performed really well. For those of you with real world experience in short barreled grendels, what should I expect? I am looking for 1 MOA targets at 600yd and 2 MOA targets at 800 yards. What does the danger space look like for a SBR grendel? At what range do you really have to be dialed in at for your range?
