Recent Scammed and Hacked Accounts

Last week we had a exploit by the scammers that copied multiple accounts, we have closed the loophole and are working on recovering the majority of those accounts. Many of them were edited and used rather quickly but we are actively addressing the problem.

If you know someone recently hacked, have them reach out, we can recover the accounts for them.

The scammers were able to copy a few accounts, they were not spoofed like before but directly copied so now is the process of identifying them and recovering all the accounts, time stamps help.

I appreciate everyone's support during this, they caused a bit of havoc due to the loophole but it's been closed.

We are currently working to tighten up the exploits and remove as much of the problems as possible, but a few may remain dormant, so please stay vigilant and use the Report feature. Every post, including your private messages have a report button in the lower left corner, use it, but know, not everyone is a scammers, only a few accounts were compromised but they managed to edit them to make it them appear as multiple users, some were changing names hourly.

Use best practices, and double check user names proper, post count, and if they tell you to call or email someone else, its a scammer.

It's a world wide web problem, social media and AI don't help, but we are fighting everyday and upgrades have been put in place.

Even w the loop hole, Frank, would 2FA have prevented this?

Nobody likes mandatory but perhaps making 2FA a requirement may be justified if it would stop a lot of this kind of crap. Getting this fixed and cleaned up has to burn a lot of man hours.

I was scammed by HaysKSFirefighter. Selling a Garmin Xero for 400$.
I sent the money thinking it was fine. He had posative feedback etc etc. He was harassing me in my DMs and sent pornographic pics. I have the DMs to prove it.
Was that account fixed?

I can confirm i was also just scammed by that piece of shit lowlife, HaysKSFirefighter for $315. Admin PLEASE BAN THIS ASSHOLE IMMEDIATELY!!!!! WE have both reported him!!
