Gunsmithing Rechamber barrel

I've got a brand new Savage 12FV barrel in .308 Win I removed to install a .300BO barrel. I'm in the middle of a budget build of a .300 Win Mag. Would there be any problem rechambering the .308 Win barrel to .300 Win Mag?

Really just a matter of inspecting the bore and weighing it's quality against the cost.
An existing chamber that is not concentric with the bore can complicate the rechamber a bit.

You would need a long action, instead of a short action for it to work. A barrel can be rechambered if its a 30 cal bore.

Got the action but it just has a sporter weight barrel on it. Have the .308 barrel I pulled off a short action I converted to .300 BO.
