With so many great optics on the market these days, it's easy to overlook iron sights. I want to take my Rock River back to the basics, however, knowing RRA's issues with compatibility, I want to run this by you guys first.
This won't be getting any optics, magnified or otherwise, so I want to run a front sight housing on this vs the BUIS on my smaller ARs. Troy just released their drop-in Charlie and Delta rails. So will these Troy "slip-on, no gunsmithing, keep your barrel nut assembly" rails work with a Rock River?
Secondly, am I restricted to RRAs front sight housing or are there options there? Unless I use Troy's Bravo rail, I won't need a rail underneath the gas block.
Lastly, flip up rear sight or carry handle?
I'm gonna do some running and gunning with this so less is more. Clearly it won't have 223 handling but a friend of mine has a stripped down M14 and I'd like to see em go head to head.
