I shoot precision/target mainly, not competition and I'm looking at the Leupold Freedom red dot 1 moa BDC.
Does anyone have this scope or advice on something like it for less than $500?
Thanks for your help.

Call SportOpitcs and see if they can hook you up with an Aimpoint ACO. It's 2 moa and doesn't have the extended battery life of the PRO or "M" models but it's 30mm so it may be easier to find a low ring (whereas the Leupold is 34MM). It comes in a mount but would be ridiculously high off of the top of the pistol (as would the Leupold in its supplied mount).
Best bet would be to find an Aimpoint Micro with the integral low mount but that's gonna be money. (still be worth calling SportOptics though).
Trijicon SRO in 1 moa is another good option and lighter than any tube optic but you're gonna have to source a suitable mount (I would actually get the EGW plate that replaces the rear sight rather than the rail adapter).

I use a bushnell tr 25 on my scorpion. It's cheap, the dot is precise and very small. I also use mine for precision and hunting as opposed to competition. Wish it had an off switch instead of a dial though
