Rifle Scopes Red Dot Optic On Precision Rifle @ 12 O'Clock - Options?

First things first, I am new to precision so bear with me here. I have a MPA BA Mount Picatinny Rail on top of my MPA scope mount with a Vortex 4.5-27x56 (like the one pictured below from MPA's website) on my rifle. Is it realistic to mount a red dot to that top rail as a sort of initial guide and/or back-up optic? And if so, what optics are people using? I would like to use a Leupold Deltapoint Pro and it looks like the lowest options for it are a bit higher than typical low mount heights on other optics, which seems like it would lend itself to this purpose. I know the elevation turret could be in the way and like I said, I don't know if this is even a realistic/good idea in the first place.

Please let me know what you think and if the Deltapoint Pro or any other optic is a realistic option to mount in the 12 o'clock position using the mount in question (https://masterpiecearms.com/shop/mpa-ba-mount-picatinny-rail/). Thanks.
