Description:
This Course Of Instruction (COI) has been specially designed for Military & Law Enforcement Tactical personnel to employ organic Night Fighting Equipment (NFE) within key tactical environments to include: rural & urban operations, target approach on foot and in vehicles and Close Quarters Battle (CQB) using Offensive Clearance techniques.
This COI will include three training phases: foot movement, CQB and driving. Phase one will introduce students to the operational procedures of rural movement, including patrolling and tactical formations, security on the move and at the halt and an introduction to actions on contact while employing NFE. During this phase, students will be introduced to thermal handheld and inline weapon sights to enhance capability and increase positive target identification.
The CQB phase will involve students being introduced to the RB1 Offensive Clearance method where students will conduct live fire room combat and clearances under daylight conditions that will then be replicated within a darkened environment utilizing both Night Vision Goggle’s (NVG’s) and Infra Red aiming lasers and illuminators.
The final phase of training will introduce students to tactical driving to include the set up of a tactical and non-tactical vehicle to be utilized as force projection assets during deliberate action target prosecution. Students will learn vehicle dynamics how to operate the vehicle under NVG’s during progressive driving training scenarios.
Prerequisites:
Military or Sworn Law Enforcement tactical personnel.
