Redding Competition Seater Die

**Answered** I need the long..... Can anyone tell me which seating die stem to get for seating Berger 140gr Hybrids? I have the competition seater die for 6.5 Creedmoor that comes in the ultimate hunter set from Redding. They have a standard or long. Would I be able to seat other VLD bullets with that replacement stem?

I have the comp set and the standard was to short AT 1.010. I use the VLD long and its 1.19.

Oh when I got mine Sinclair's only had the short one list a had to call to get the longer one.

I don't remember whether the seating stem that came with my competition seater was "standard" or "long", guess I didn't realize that the die came with a choice of length with the OEM die. In either event, I needed the VLD stem to seat the 140 hybrids in my loads. I believe the VLD stems come in a choice of length, the standard worked just fine. If I were to start shooting solids I'd probably go with the long version.

Yeah I looked on Midways website and they have a PDF link that lists which seating die you need for what cartridge. I was loading the 140 hybrids and I bottomed out and couldn't seat the bullet any deeper. Glad I was looking at Reddings catalog last night and found out I might need a different stem for vld's. I'm sure I would have baffled why it didn't seat any deeper.
