Hello, my first post in this forum so I thank you all for any info on this topic. I have two Redfield Accurange scopes that are both finished in gloss black. The first one serial no. F82819 is marked 1" tube on the tube turret. The second one is serial no. Y06619. Can anyone please give any information about these scopes: year of production, value etc.?

Re: Redfield Accurange questions

The Redfield marked 1 inch tube, if its a 3x9x40 with standard crosshairs would be the correct scope for someone building a USMC M40 clone, they are getting a little harder to find and if its in good condition a little hard to say what price it would go for, I have seen them go for $300-$500 on Egay, maufactured around 1966-1968. The gloss scope, if it has standard crosshairs, also could be used on the M40, although the 2nd Gen (non I"tube marked) the Satin one is more authentic. By the serial number on the 2nd Gen, which is pretty low, manufactured in 68-69 and not in as much demand, but on Egay its hard to say, maybe 2-400, perhaps more. But if someone wants them who knows what price they would go for.
