Question for you guys. Second post on the forum. I have a winchester model 70 22-250 with a redfield one piece base with the dovetail front and windage rear and low rings. I want to change scopes and this is going to require high rings. Does anyone know if the leupold rings will work with the redfield base since my local shop carries the leupold rings. Or will I have to order redfield rings. Thanks for any help.

Do yourself a favor and ditch the STD scope mount "system".
The rear support is about non-existent.
I have a set of Win 70 matte bases in dual dovetail and a few sets of matte rings I will give you a deal on; if you don't want to go picatinny or weaver base.
The STD mounting system has no place on a precision rifle.
