Redfield International Front Sight Variations

Recently I've run across two variations of Redfield International front sights I've not seen before. Normally I've not seen anything on the left side of the base that attaches to the sight block. That is until today. I've seen one that is stamped 50 yd and another that is stamped 100 yd. My questions is, what is the difference between the one without a stamping and another that is stampted 50 or 100 yards?

The one stamped 100 yds will be lower in height than one stamped 50yds or one without any stamp at all.
I have both and regularly switch for different matches between 50 yds and 100 yds.
Allows only requiring a few clicks on the rear micrometer sight for zero.
There is a lot of information about Redfield Micrometer sights that has been lost to History and not readily available.
I have started a thread to archive this information on the Rim Fire Forum.
