I've got a 6.5 Creedmoor gas gun and I'm wanting to move back to a 308.

Any issue with running a reduced firing pin diameter on a 308 gas gun? Here is the bolt I currently have.

Thanks

Buddy runs 185 Bergers in his 308 Sevice rifle. He had to go small firing pin to avoid blanking primers. He was getting 2650fps today with just the tiniest crater on maybe 10% of the pin strike circumfance. Just enough to feel with your fingernail, you couldn't even see it. I suspect I'd never built a large frame without a tight pin now.

Edit for spelling

ArmaLite has had smaller diameter firing pin “forever”.
Never had an issue with any custom AR-10 I built using an Armalite BCG & bolt.
I’ve done a few exotic calibers and a few 308s, zero issues.

Yes, the JP HP bolt and firing pin I recently bought solved the primer issue for me with a 243 WIN upper I put together. My GEN 3 PSA in 6.5 comes with a bolt and pin that are small size so I've not had a single primer related issue with it. I believe that PSA uses the Toolcraft bcg with their 6.5 offerings.
