Reflex Sight

Re: Reflex Sight

i've had both an aimpoint and eotech on my mkII...

FWIW they're a little heavy and bulky. aimpoint is still there but i've been tempted to go to fiber optic sights or a ghost ring setup here lately.

DR Optic may be better suited. I had a tasco jpoint once upon a time and it worked well...

Re: Reflex Sight

I really like the Docter red dot sights and the Trijicon. Both Docter and Trijicon are substantial money but that type of reflex red dot is what I would look to put on a pistol. I have used the JPoint and really like it and they can be gotten from Ebay for around $200 or so. I also like the Burris Fastfire red dots and they can be gotten used for closer to $150. I got a FNP45 tactical that has mounts for the assorted min RDS so mine will be wearing a Trijicon.

Re: Reflex Sight

I have a Burris Fastfire 2 on my 22 1911 conversion and I like it so far. The window is small so it takes some practice to pick up the dot quickly but the size is perfect for a pistol. My only problem is adjustments have to be made with a screwdriver, but some compromises are necessary to achieve such a small size. Since they are available I would not want something the size of an Aimpoint or EOTech on a pistol (maybe a T-1).
