I am getting ready to reshape about 900 pieces of 5.56 brass into .300 BO. Question popped into my head. Does anyone here anneal their 5.56 brass prior to reforming it into .300 BO?

I don’t, but mine is mostly plinking ammo and done 110 for deer

I did and I didn't lose a single piece with a split neck. Anyway, it can't/won't hurt a thing.

Brass is being reshaped and bent so the annealing will cause less work hardening in this process. I do believe this is the very purpose for annealing brass.
