Reloading 223

I currently load 55gr fmj with 27gr of 748 and use a magnum primer per my speer manual. I been shooting my 308 and run varget in it, wondering if I should switch to varget for both or if anyone is using something else that they might think is better. I like 748 cause it is a ball powder so it is fast to reload. Btw, i shoot them out of a 16" 1/9 twist ar15.

Varget dosen't work so well with the lighter bullets.

My go-to AR load is 22 grains of Accurate 2230 behind a 55 grain fmj. It's spherical as well; meters nicely. At that load I get around 300 rounds/pound. Standard small rifle primer.
