I am thinking about getting an AR in 308.

Does anybody load their 308 on a 650? Any issues? I am just looking to cut a little production time.

I use a COAX for the precision stuff, but would like to reload in bulk for the AR platform. Just plinking ammo.

I would still trim and chamfer in separate processes.

Thanks

Jerry

I use a 650, powder is Varget, it works fine in 308, but if you use varget in a 223 you need to take the hopper apart and polish everything, including the powder bar, then when you drop the charge do it slow and give a couple of bumps with the handle to make sure you get the full charge, I've only had to do this loading 223,

I recomend Tac or WC846 they both meter well. I Stepped up to the super 1050 and that made all the difference as it opperates so much more smoothly. However, I do all of my case prep on the 650 including depriming and trimming.

It would work fine for blasting ammo using ball powders but I had crappy results with the powder measure and extruded powders, especially Varget. 8/10 throws would be +/- .2gr but then the other 2 could be as high as .6gr off.
