Reloading advice for a 700P in 223. I am looking for a target load for just punching paper from 100-500 yards. The rifle has a 9" twist so i am looking for the best round for bucking wind and the best powder to put under it. I have never reloaded .223 so Im looking for the best bullet coefficient round that my rifle will push.

Yes i have used the search button and am looking though all the loads but a lot of people have not posted the barrel twist and length so it nulls a lot of value..

try something along the lines of a 60 Gr. A-max (just because of ROT) and Hodgdon Benchmark. Would also be a good idea to try a benchrest primer like CCI BR-1. Ill check my books and check this post with more info as far as BC for G7 Scale and powder charge. Cant go get them at the moment.

I've had the best results with the 69g SMK and the 60g V-max. All loaded with between 24.5-25.0 grains of Varget. And my rifle is also a 9 twist.

Great thanks guys i was wanting to know if the rifle would shoot the 69 SMK or if they would key hole all over the place. also they are priced very well 85$ for a 500ct box. I am waiting on the scope and rings for the rifle to get in so next week I will get some 69 SMK over Varget start the latter test around 23 grains and move up till we see pressure.
