A friend asked me to help a friend of his who is having issues with factory ammo through his new custom hunting rifle with a carbon fiber barrel (300 PRC). I offered up some assistance since I've got all the dies, components, etc. to make some ammo and see if it's the barrel or the ammo. So, we're going to do a ladder test, try and find a flat spot, then load up 20 or so rounds at that spot and see how it shoots.
I've never shot a carbon barrel, much less reloaded for one. Are there any considerations that I should know of that would help with the ladder test and load development?
