Reloading for ndm-86 in .308

Re: Reloading for ndm-86 in .308

Thats a good combination in my AR10-T but I think a Dragunov is a whole lot different. I would start with some FMJ's and published load data. Work up slow and don't expect to get to max before the gas system gets cycling pretty hard. IMR 4064 was I believe a powder developed for the military and has the proper pressure characteristics for gas operated rifles. I could be all wrong. I know nothing about your rifle. Good luck.

I reload for an FN-FAL and HK-91 and while not the same thing, I do reload for a ChiCom AK-47. I think like the other guy said, 147/150s are probably what it's twisted for, but maybe not.

Just experiment. IMR 4064, IMR 4895, Varget, RL-15, VV-150 and H-4895 are the usual suspects with the 168 type weights.

Start low and work up, but not too low.

I brain farted a decaded ago and loaded up some 150s using IMR 4064 with light charges and they didn't come close to cycling the HK-91's bolt carrier group, lol.
