This is a Rem factory rifle. The bolt handle hits on the rear of the bolt handle slot cut in the action. I checked other Rems I have and most have the bolt handle more or less centered in the bolt handle slot cut in the action. Could I just file a little off the rear bolt handle slot in the action, so the bolt handle misses?

the bolt handle need retiming so it has to be removed and then moved forward and either silver soldered or tig welded contact Remington because it is not going to shoot using the bolt handle as a recoil lug they should fix it for you.

Nothing done to it.
