So, I took my 6 year old shooting today. He started with his Henry youth rifle and had a great time:

He then asked to shoot "daddy's rifle." I brought my 40x .22 trainer, which I had just dropped into a McMillan M40A1 stock. Of course, I was happy to oblige his request:

Here is his 25 yard target. This was only his second time shooting and I couldn't have been prouder:

All in all, a great day at the range.

Feels good doesnt it!! I took my little girl to the skeet field for the first time when she was 4. Maybe a tad bit early but we both had fun. she also likes to tag along while dove hunting as well. No rifle shooting yet, but it will not be long. Lee

That's great. Still trying to get my son interested in going shooting with me.

Was that at Clarke Brothers? Been a long time since I've been over there.

Yes - for short range, Clark Bros. isn't a bad place to shoot. I've yet to take him to Quantico, but hope to soon.
