Rem 700 5r Milspec

Just picked up the 5r Milspec and am sending to Robar for Roguard to cover the stainless barrel, install a Badger Ord picatinny rail and am wondering if I need to have the rifle aluminum bedded. The block is bedded but not the whole stock. All this work will cost about $1K making my total investment approx $2K. Am I going way overboard here as it's only about $550 without the bedding.

See if you actually like the stock, most people sell them off pretty quick.

They go for $180-230 typiclly, so putting that toward another stock is helpfull.


Plus if you do a search here on bedding a rifle you will save yourself some coins and pick up some know how.
