Gunsmithing Rem 700 bolt handle replacement & timing?

I'd like to know who I should call about replacing and timing my bolt handle for a Rem 700. The cam has pretty much worn off of my bolt handle and it's getting pretty hard to cycle.

I know I've seen threads about this here before and I searched it but couldn't find the info I'm looking for.

Thanks,

Pablo

Thanks much for the link Wirehand!

Is it getting hard to cycle or is primary extraction not working? Really two different things that mesh together.

If your bolt lift is difficult, then your cocking ramp needs polishing and lubing.

If when you get near the top of the bolt lift and it gets tough, and the fired round doesn't want to extract, then your bolt handle is likely worn where extraction begins.

Both areas should be properly lubed to prevent galling and premature wear.
