im thinking of putting clip kits in my rem 700sps tac in 308 and my sps varmint in 223 which company is the best and easiest to put it that requires little stock removal

Re: rem 700 clip kit

Are you looking to install a "magazine" in your sps's? A clip and a magazine are 2 different things. A magazine comes in from the bottome and is normally in a box shape. A "clip" comes in from the top and is commonly called a "stripper clip", it requires no scope and a notch at the rear of the ejection port, but has nothing to do with stock removal. A DBM(detachable box magazine) requires some material to be removed from the stock, no matter the brand of dbm. None of the short action dbm's are drop in, all require some removal of material and are best performed on a mill or cnc center. I have had great luck with Badger and CDI.

Re: rem 700 clip kit

I've installed literally hundreds of DBM (detachable bottom metal) setups from every manufacturer.

There's good ones and there's really good ones.

Consider any of these. (No particular order)

Badger
Stiller
PTG
Surgeon

All use the Accuracy International Magazines. When setup properly all work exceptionally well.

Good luck.

C.
