I see a lot of 1-piece base options for $120+ but are there any standouts at 1/2 that price? I don't know much about these but can it really be all that hard to produce a quality piece for +/- $60, really??

Also, I'm going to be shooting a 308 out to 600 yards regularly but some folks say I'll want to go to 1000 soon enough so are there any disadvantages to a 20MOA base at 600 and under? I wouldn't mind having the ability to reach out buy my main focus will be 50-600 yards. Thanks!

I run a Seekins... did its job today at the range. Why not pay a little more for better quality? Gives you piece of mind that it's you screwing up the shot, not your equipment.

++ for the EGW HD. Used one on my .308 for the last 1300 rnds with no problems. Matched with their rings it's a good solid set-up for reasonable money. 20 moa will not hurt you at 600 and will probably be needed at 1000 to keep you in the meat of the scopes adjustment range.
