I have a Rem 700 SA 308 sitting in a 2.0 AICS Stock. I've mounted a 4-16-42SF Monarch Scope with Low 1" Seekings Rings on a Larue 20MOA Base.

When I cycle the bolt it comes within 5mm of hitting the scope. It makes it so very tight its impossible to grip the bolt on both sides. Is this normal?

It even automatically opens up my scope cap because it hits the little lip. Would a bolt knob upgrade make this problem better or worse? Are there specific ones that wont or would work?

Thanks

sand off the offending scope cap tab.

you can also get a longer "tactical" bolt knob installed that will give you more area to grab onto when cycling the bolt.

how you ever given a thought to add a tactical knob that will extend a bit longer on what you have migh fix your problems.

my rifle is kinda the same as yours and the badger bolt knob help me get away from the scope. i got medium badger rings on it.

If you don't want to modify anything you could always get taller rings. Mine does the same thing with a super sniper and weaver tactical 6 hole rings. My butler creak cap has to be clocked to avoid this
