looking to get one of these 700P rifles in 308. are these descent? (on a budget) how can i tell it apart from a non P series? what do i look for? also is there a site i can type in my serial # to get year of rifle?

I like mine...
the P is basically a Varmint with
a different stock and parkerized finish...
you might want to see if the stock is to your
liking- (i like it).

They are pretty good. My 300WM was a 700P. But now all I have left of the original rifle is the bolt and action.
