Figure the reloading forum is the proper place for this question. Helping an old friend clean out his reloading stuff and came across some Rem 308 BR brass.
Not sure if this was a fluke by Rem or not, I came across several boxes of Rem BR brass with the boxes labled (Rem. B.R. SM Rifle Primer - 308 Case). The head stamp on the brass is
"R-P
22 BR REM"
Have other Rem 308 BR brass from boxes labled the same way and the headstamp on those is just "R-P BR REM"

Anybody have any insight to this?

Re: Rem BR brass ?

The old guy is about 84 now and is deciding to get rid of some of his reloading stuff and this would be part of it.
Any idea on value of the BR brass? It is new in box.
I know he used rem br brass when he developed a round he called the "30 short chucky", 30x45 with 30 degree shoulder. He used it for his 100yd and 300yd hunter class bench gun.

Re: Rem BR brass ?

It's more common than you think. I have a 6mm rem br and i use those cases for my rifle. I was able to pick up some loaded rounds about a year ago for $12.00 at my local dealer. Midway also sells the stuff.Lapua just started to make a 308 Palma case with a sm primer pocket. Whats old becomes new again.
