Well troops, i"m considering a "tentative" build, so where better to go for advice and opinions than the "Hide"

I'm a big Manners supporter so I'm going to change lanes a give one of there thumb hole stocks a try, BTW this rig is going to be for hunting and weight is not a concern.

Here's the laundry list;

Manners MCS-T5 (BTW I"m a lefty)
Seekins AICS long action CIP bottom metal
Magpul AC L Magnum magazine

The action will be a REM 700 LA, I"m going to find a "donor" rifle, barrel maker is yet to be determined, but a sendero or varmint contour & 24" max length.

Thanks, Cheers

Some things I'm undecided about are "flush cups" where and how many? opinions? experience?

I've got an older RemingtonS Sendero (Gen 1) that shoots very well. I've thought about having it trued, new pipe, etc but for the life of me I can't see doing anything w/ it til the barrel's toast. It shoots really well. W/ hand loads I'm getting all of 3/4 MOA groups. I've been shooting Nosler E-tips (180 ft) w/ 78 grains of Ramshot powder. COAL I believe is 3.391." I believe the primers were Winchester large size. I'd have to look at the load data to be sure.

A few months ago I sold it's original HSP stock. I despise the M40 stocks / HTG stock etc. I prefer something w/ more of a vertical grip like an A5.

I bought a MagPul Hunter stock w/ MagPul DBM but I haven't put it together or shot it since removing the original stock so no feedback yet.

Before you sink a ton of money into the gun see how it shoots first. These guns generally shoot very well.
