hey guys i looking to get a 300 win mag used and i want to drop it into a manners MCS-T4A. i have never done anything like this so what all would i have to do to drop it into that stock. i will have a local gun smith do the work most likely. thanks

Re: rem or sav into manners stock

Order the stock from Manners with the action that you're using. The Savages will need some extra attention to certain measurements that they will tell you to measure for them.

It will need to be bedded and the pillars trimmed/installed.

Once that is all done it bolts in and out just like the factory stock did.

Re: rem or sav into manners stock

If you wanted to do a full proper install, you'd have the pillars trimmed and the stock bedded, but it can also be done down the line or when funds allow. It'll still be a good shooter without the bedding.

Also, if you get a Savage, like someone mentioned, make sure you pay attention to the spacing on the action screws. I wanna say it has something to do with single stack vs double stack vs blind mag vs bottom metal. If I'm wrong, someone feel free to correct me.

Either way, the spacing between the action screws will be either 4.27" or 4.40". Just keep that in mind when ordering if you go the Savage route.
