Gunsmithing REM700 & Small shank SAVAGE thread size & pitch the same ?

is the REM700 & Small shank SAVAGE thread size & pitch the same ?
Can I remove the shoulder & run the threads up on a R700 barrel , add a nut & use it on a Savage ?

Remington uses 1.062 x 16 TPI, savage uses 1.055 x 20 TPI (small shank) and 1.120 x 20 (large shank)

You could turn the shoulder down to 1.060+ .000 -.005. Pick up the factory threads and make them longer to use a Remington threaded barrel nut.

This won't work for the OP. He wants to use a Remington barrel on a Savage. Different thread pitches.
