Gunsmithing REMAGE 6.5 PRC without notching the feed ramp?

I'm toying around with the idea of putting together a 6.5 PRC with a REMAGE barrel. I'll most likely be feeding it hand loaded 143 ELD-X from a magazine but I might use factory Precision Hunter in a pinch. I understand I'll need a magnum short action but I'm curious if I can get away with not notching the feed ramp using a 6.5 PRC magazine? While notching the feed ramp is not out of the question, I might just go with a different caliber if it's a must. Has anybody put one of these together and how'd it come out?

Thanks for your time,
Brad

Short answer is no.
Factory ammo is 2.950” OAL, anything past 2.90” OAL in a Rem 700 SA needs ramp notched.
Need AM 300 WSM Mag w/o binder plate (2.975” OAL +/- a little) and as soon as you do that, possible for ammo to get under feed ramp.

As per Mr. Steel Head, just notch it. Easy enough to do.

Just notch it.
It’s not a big deal.
Or build it on an origin or nucleus action

did you guys Notch it yourself? What all is involved?

I've re-drilled detachable box magazine bottom metals and moved them back .090" or so to avoid having to notch a feed ramp. I'll notch some POS Savage or some Bubba'd R700 with the smaller bolt faces, but I don't think I'd notch a BAT, TL3 or Mausingfield though. Bottom metals are the less-expensive part to modify.
