Remington 700, 308 AICS 1.5 barrel lug ?

Recently I completed a 700 Remington .308 build on a AICS 1.5 D/E 6263 stock. I'm having issues getting this gun to shoot sub-moa. The question I'm asking is concerning the barrel lug. I used a .250 lug with the build and noted that the barrel lug slot was bigger then the lug. Can this cause issues with the way my gun is shooting? Do I need to take up the space with something? Looking for some pointers.

That shouldn't matter. Make sure the rear of the lug makes contact with the chassis. You might want to bed the lug.
