OK so I have this .308 that I have had for the last 9 years and have done nothing with it. I have never even taken it out and shoot one round through it. So I am looking at putting A Magpul Hunter 700 stock on it. But the main question is should I keep the barrel at the 26" length or cut it down. If I cut it down I want to have it threaded so I can put a can on it. So what Im asking is there a better route I should take with this? I want to use it as my second long range gun. I have a RPR 6.5 Creedmoore for really long range.

I had one. Was my first lr rifle. I kept it at 26 but I wanted to thread it. Any particular reason on the magpul over say a krg bravo?
Also look at Grayboe stocks.
I have an SPS in 308 and cut it down to 25" and had it threaded for my suppressor. It's kinda picky with bullets but I found some 175's that work well.

I have one as well. Kept mine at 26". It's in a McMillan stock. Shoots great!
