Looking at a used 5r in 300 win mag and it is a 26inch barrel with no 5r markings on it. I thought they were all marked with 5r. Anyone have any expierence with this?

I have a gen 1 300 win 5R. I don't believe it has any 5R markings on it. But I could be wrong, I wont be able to look over the actual rifle to check until next weekend. I'm out of town.
Bought a 5R barreled action from a member here a few months ago and it wasn't marked 5R. Clearly had 5 lands but I was still concerned so emailed serial # to Remington and got quick response that it was a 5R. So unless the bbl had been changed (don't think so) at least some of them were not marked 5R. It's an S prefix 24" unthreaded barrel but then another 20" threaded S prefix barrel I have is marked 5R.
Just bought a 700P with 5R rifling and its not marked 5R to my knowledge. My local FFL scared me when I went to pick it up and he said "thats not 5R rifled you know". It does have the rifling but isnt marked to indicate it.
