What's the word on these setups from Remington?

They have the 24" and 26" models, what would you guys recommend if they do in fact have good reviews or would you go a different route?

A Harvester can will be going with the rifle in do time as well.

Thanks

The 5R MilSpec is known to be a helluva entry level shooter. The questions I'd have for you would be:

1. What are you going to do with it? Punch paper and steel ? and/or Hunt ?

2. Why threaded ? Are you going to Brake it ? Suppress it ? If so ya gotta think about #1 and the extra weight/length you're gonna end up adding.

I'm picking up a 308 5R pretty soon but am still struggling with my own questions regarding 20" or 24", threaded or not. I think you'll be very happy with this gun with a good trigger added.

I've been wanting one to suppress... Haven't seen any actual range reports on one though.

Look in the Guns For Sale Section here. And of course just type in Remington 5R MilSpec 223 308 300 Winny and you'll find lot's of good stuff via Google. .5 MOA capable depending on shooter of course and better without alot of tweeks. Trigger is what most people change out right off, then maybe the stock. Don't forget Youtube also. Suppressed would be the chit !!

I have one in 300 WM. Badger DBM, top rail, brake, and Manners stock. Shoots very well (sub). Affordable way to get larger bore precision. Badger brake helps with kick. Built up load with 208 Amax's.
