Just wondering if anyone has used one with bulk Ammo as a trainer? I’m just worried about accuracy with cheap Ammo? I’m open to other options I just didn’t want to build a rifle but if I have to I will. I was thinking about just buying 1000 rounds of AE223.

Thanks in advance

They are great. I still have my floppy stock and it shoots like this.

Well, it did once. 3rd group.

I’ve completely stripped mine down at this point but I got it with the intention of shooting it out testing bullets and loads etc on the cheap.

I also did some tests on cheap factory ammo so if someone else wanted to come shoot it a bunch I could tell them what to buy that would shoot alright. I found that the norma tac 55 gr shot better than the other cheap sub 7 buck box offerings, federal ae, imi, rem etc.

The 9 twist limits the bullets you can run to get to really long range but the 55s are good to 500 and the 69s are good to 600.

(The stock and trigger are awful, some just have better luck with them)

I put a Timney 510 on mine, threaded it and dropped it in a B&C stock. My favorite rifle. I load my own, but for a cheap round it shoots PPU 69 match really well.
