Remington 700 ADL Tactical

Ran to my local Dick's Sporting Goods today to grab some running gear and I noticed a new rifle on the rack; it was tagged as a "700 ADL Tactical" and was a 308 with a 20" threaded barrel. SKU was 85457. It had the same stock as a 700 ADL Varmint, except it was tan/FDE instead of camo. Price was $499, I didn't catch the barrel twist rate.

I know many folks are down on factory 700s these days, especially with the Tikka CTR and Bergara HMR available...but this may be a good option for somebody seeking a 700 AAC-SD but knows they are going to ditch the Hogue in favor of a chassis or aftermarket stock.

I am really contemplating this purchase. Just like you said, knowing I'm going to ditch the stock. Question on this rifle; is this the same action and barrel as a SPS Tactical? Is it just a different stock?

I went to look at this rifle at my Dicks and the .308 has a 22" and the 6.5 has a 24"
