I recently had a bolt knob conversion done on a remington 700 bolt. The method used was the stud in a drilled hole with a thread on knob. It was a little longer than I wished, as my other handles were tapped to original handle. I started looking it over, decided to go with it. At range I had a round that stuck the bolt( primer backed out of brass.. had been using cci primers but switched to win LR as that was all that were available)
Tapped handle hard and snapped off my new knob. This also damaged the handle past where a normal knob conversion would stop.
? Who can tig weld this back together ? Or would it be easier/better to have a complete new handle installed.
Thanks in advance
