Remington 700 questions

I am somewhat undecided between a 700P and R5-mil-spec rifle. My main purpose for this gun will be long range target (300-600 yards) and I will have a 9.5" long suppressor attached to this barrel.

Can someone explain the main advantages of going with the R5 vs the 700P?

Main things I have found so far (correct me if I am wrong)
Twist rate
700P 1:12
R5 1:11.25

Both have the
x-mark adjustable trigger

R5 stainless 24" barrel
700P 26" barrel

both have HS Precision synthetic stock

Cost for the R5 ($799-$999)
Cost for 700P ($699-$951)

Go with the 5R, because of the barrel. If you are like most you will eventually want to play with the heavier bullets.

Will I have issue when I get the barrel threaded for the suppressor?
