Hi SH,

I currently own a 15 slot NF rail but recently upgraded to a DMRii and Spuhr mount that I can't get far enough forward because I ran out of slots.

Can someone recommend a 20MOA rail that has around 20 slots?

Thanks!

That optic does have a long eye relieif at 4”.
Larue and badger both have mounts with 17 slots.
I would try contacting near mfg and having him make something for you. He does custom rails and mounts for most rifles and scopes. My r700 has a 15 slot base from him, but i bet he can machine a longer one. Super nice and knowledgeable guy.

Not to be insulting either, but it might be worth it check over your position as well. Straight behind the rifle and all that good stuff becuase that can really my a difference. Im 6’3” and when i had someone who knew what they were doing review my position i had to shorten my stocks length of pull and bring the scope back to obtain proper eye relief. This might also be a better option then a custom base.

Thanks for the recommendations on the rails. How much did a rail from mfg cost you? Someone else on another forum mentioned the EGW rails that are very long. I am looking into those as well. Any thoughts?

You make a good point. Honestly, it is very possible my LOP is off (I have wondered that); I don't really have anyone in my area (NS, Canada) who can assess me on my rifle. I will be looking at going to a course somewhere in the next year for things like that... At the same time, I believe I am quite squared off on the rifle (I wasn't having the same issue with my LRHS). Also, I'm only 6' and have used 2 of the 3 available spacers for the Bravo. I could very well be wrong, but I can't see me needing to go any longer?

A quick google search and some counting and and it appears that egw only has 15 slots and at $40 bucks i wouldnt trust them.

Near mfg sells a 25moa lugged rail for $175. After custom machining you can expect to be anywhere from $175-$200+

There are some good videos about rifle set up and length of pull, check height and then scope set up. Along with building a good prone position that is directly behind the rifle.

The EGW rail I'm talking about is their newer: "HD F-CLASS REMINGTON SHORT ACTION 20 MOA". It has roughly 20 slots. The main reason I am interested in this rail is because I can buy one locally for a good price, and there aren't many rails I can get locally here.

I have bought from Richard at Near MFG and he was extremely helpful on the few times I have purchased things from him.

I feel he would be a good person to talk to about it.

Egw is just fine. if you find with the front tightened that there is a gap in the rear then YouTube bedding a scope base.

Actually bed it anyways. It’s so easy it’s worth doing no matter what. A bit of shoe polish and jb weld is all that required.
