Hey, I'm new to the forum so please don't harass me to much.

I currently shoot a Remington 700 .223 VTR. It has a 26 inch barrel, not the standard 22 and it doesn't have the redundant integral muzzle break. I am fairly pleased with it, but i was wondering based on some of your preferences what after market stock i should go with, and possibly replace the barrel. I know that first things first i could drop in a timney trigger and get a good bedding job. I'm open to all suggestions! I can comfortably shoot gophers out to 300 right now but i would like to be able to shoot out to 500+. I was leaning towards a B&c medalist varmint/tactical adjustable stock.

Thanks for the suggestions, Kappes7

there are 1000+ topics just like this one on here. youll surely find them if you look around. but, one thing, no matter what stock you get, youll likely have a crap load of clearance around the barrel. the vtr barrel looks cool, but in a b&c medalist or similar, its gonna look goofy. but, thats just my opinion. either way, welcome to the hide.
