Is the barrel contour of the 700P and the 700 5R milspec the same? I know the barrel length is different but in pictures it appears the contour of the 5R milspec is slightly heavier. I'm trying to decide between these 2 rifles. I like the 26" barrel on the 700P but like the all stainless action and barrel of the 5R milspec. Thanks for your help.

I have both, and I believe they are, but regardless I'd go with the 5R. Aside from being all stainless, my 5R is the more consistent of the two rifles with most loads.
