So, having rebarreled a few Savages I'm thinking of taking a crack at my Remington 700P. It's only a couple of years old so I'm wondering are the newer barrels as difficult to remove as older ones?

Thanks Guys!

Factory barrel, its easy provided you have a good barrel vice and a good external wrench.

They suck just as much. As mentioned a good barrel vice and action wrench will usually do it. Sometimes you need some heat and or a rubber mallet.

If you don't have any of that a action wrench and pipe wrench on the barrel will do it

It’s not rocket science
