Regarding new stock 700 Police LTR .308 with factory H-S Precision composite stock. RemArms number R86673.

I'd like to hear which Detachable Magazine Kits are really drop-in without inletting. 308 caliber.
Metal kits are preferred over polymer. Kits using common cheaper magazines are a plus.
If there is a kit that uses a compact 10-round magazine for that would be a major plus.

Anything that uses mags worth a shit (AICS) is going to require inletting, and at that point it’s more cost effective to just get a stock/chassis and have other better features too.

Part of the reason why I was recommending going with the SPS tactical instead before you bought it. You’d be money ahead.

Just HS but uses their proprietary mags.

Lots of good smiths will install the DBM for you.
-LRI
-Riverbend gun company
- If you purchase from Badger Ordinance they will install it for you for about 75 bucks. They do good work. I forget the smith they use.
-Any local smith with a milling machine can do it.

Without hesitation I can say that I don't like rifle chassis.

Then get a properly inletted stock?
Wyatts is going to be the closest thing to what you are asking but it isnt cheap and it may not be drop in anyways. I wouldnt want it.

I have the same rifle … I fit it myself. Looks great, works great, shoots excellent. You just have to take it slow and steady with the removal.

Send your goodness to LRI for his DBM goodness.

The fact it comes with a flush mag is exceptional for you Hunter types…
