Remington M40 SSA

I came across a Remington M40 SSA new in the box, and I talked the dealer down to $1275.....wondering if I should bite. I have been wanting an m40A1 clone, but then came across this and it has me pretty curious. I can't find much about them online, wondering if they are worth the price tag. Pretty much just going to shoot some targets and some whitetails.

I think when they were available they were around 8-900

On the auction sites they go for much more between 1500 NIB and I have seen them listed for 2K but no buyers.

IMO I think thats a good price on a great looking rifle and as for cost it was a limited run so dont expect it to go down.

Was the limited run just for looks or are they shooters too?

$1275 is an excellent price. I paid $1600 NIB for mine. They were a limited run of 1000. Out of the box with 168gr FGMM it shoots .75moa. Snag it today, its only money you'll make more.

I realize this is a big price difference. But if you really want an M40 replica that's a shooter, this would be the way to go, and it appears to be as historically accurate as you could make an M40.
